Special Instructions: Gram stain included with culture and has a separate charge. There will be separate charges for organism identification and susceptibility testing when appropriate. Specimens sent from OR will be cultured for aerobes and anaerobes. Other specimens with a high suspicion of anaerobic bacteria should have a note made on the lab requisition and specimen should be sent in anaerobic transport media Eswab.
