Significance: The Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel is performed on stool specimens within the VUMC Molecular Infectious Diseases Laboratory, during its regular operating hours (M-F: 6:30 AM - 12:30 AM; weekends: 8 AM - 4:30 PM). The following targets are included on the Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel: Campylobacter, Salmonella, Vibrio, Vibrio cholerae, Yersenia entercolitica, Enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC) lt/st, Shiga-like toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) stx1/stx2, E. coli O157, Shigella/Enteroinvasive E. coli (EIEC), Cryptosporidium, Cyclospora cayetanensis, Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, Adenovirus F 40/41, Astrovirus, Norovirus GI/GII, Rotavirus A, Sapovirus
