Tube Type: Light green top PST (Lithium Heparin with gel)
Specimen: Plasma
Alternate Specimen: Red top (no gel)
Pediatric Requirements: 2 light green top microtainers
Volume: 2 mL plasma
Minimum Volume: 1 light green top (Pediatric = 2 light green top microtainers)
Temperature: Separate within 1 hour and store/ship @ ambient temperature until delivery.
Stability: Room temperature: 7 days; Refrigerated: 21 days; Frozen: 8 months
Reasons for Rejection: Hemolysis, improper collection
